Farming Simulator VR Is The Biggest Insult Of A Game I Have Ever Played

When I first heard that Farming Simulator was getting a VR game, I was ecstatic. It's been one of my favorite game series for years, and I've loved VR since I was a child.

What I was hoping for was something comparable to their mobile series, but in VR. what I got instead of a kick in the groin and a fart in the face.

Farming Simulator VR is the most bare bones Farming Simulator experience yet, with a whopping total of 3 crops to farm, 1-2 vehicle options, and 1-2 machines for each task. You do not manage your space, or drive around an open world, you have to manually select the vehicle, and you're spawned inside a small pen to farm and leave. A good 90% of what makes Farming Simulator engaging is completely missing.

But don't worry, they did introduce 2 unique features: power washing and repairs.

While both mechanics do exist in the base game, its essentially just a stat you raise as needed. Its inconsequential. In Farming Simulator VR, however, be prepared to spend 15 minutes every 10 minute trying to play a quarter-assed imitation of Powerwash Simulator.

The repair system, while unique and more engaged, is clunky as all hell, and felt more like a hassle then a fun new mechanic.

They also have a greenhouse, which has about as much mechanical detail as some college kid's first VR game.

The Worst Part

Worst of all? Throughout the garage you do repairs in, AI generated posters are scattered along the wall.

Everything about this game screams "lazy" to me, and I'm so terribly bitter about it. Why must they fuck up something I've wanted so bad for so long like this?
